We believe that the teaching of Science should build on students’ curiosity and creativity to develop individuals who are science literate. The science curriculum fosters within each student a sense of responsibility towards all living organisms and the environment. We believe that students must develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they integrate knowledge within the sciences and with other disciplines. An essential aim of the department is that students acquire a facility with the language, materials, and equipment of science.
