Scoring the first goal was Rachel Battista with an assist from Mary McAteer.  The second goal was scored by Liana Borts.  Nicole Leahey had 6 saves and Bianca Caprio had 7 saves.

Bay View Varsity Cross Country vs. Hope High School, Moses Brown and LaSalle Academy

Bay View finished in 4th place in the Metro Division after their last dual meet of the season with an overall season record of 8 - 3.  Leading the Bengals this week were Daria Braboy, Danielle Palms, Annie Tresca, Kristen Mitchell and Tess Kettelle.  The team travels to Manhattan on October 10th to race at the famous Van Cortlandt Park.

Bay View Varsity Field Hockey vs. Tiverton High School

Cate Colucci scored 3 goals and 1 assist to lead Bay View past Tiverton.  Amanda Di Paola had a goal and Erin Ferry and Sara Martineau each had an assist.  Fallon Scorpio recorded her first Varsity shutout in her first Varsity start.  Bay View will play their next game at home on Monday, September 29th at 4:00 pm against Notre Dame Academy, Hingham.

Scoring the goal was Rachell Battista and Brittany Machado had the assist.  Nicole Leahy had 4 saves and Bianca Caprio had 1 save.

Bay View Varsity Field Hockey vs. Lincoln High School
L 4-1
Bay View finished off the first half of their first season in Division I with a 4-4 record after a tough loss to a very strong Lincoln High team.  Bay View's lone goal was scored by Kiley Colucci assisted by Amanda DiPaola.  Bay View will start the second half off on Thursday, September 25th, at home vs. Tiverton High School.

Bay View Varsity Field Hockey vs. Cumberland

Sara Martineau scored 6 minutes into the second half to lift Bay View to the victory over Cumber land High School.  Bay View improves to 4-3 in Division I with one game remaining in the first half of the season.  Bay View will conclude at Lincoln High School on Tuesday, September 23rd at 3:45 pm (go to www.riil.org for directions to Lincoln High School).

Bay View Varsity Crew at the Meredith Bay Regatta

Bay View Crew Takes Gold in the Fours and Places 4th in the Eights

The St. Mary Academy - Bay View Varsity Crew started its fall regatta season with a gold medal in the Women’s Junior Fours and a fourth place in the Women’s Junior Eights at the Meredith Bay Regatta. Rowing on a choppy 2.5-mile Lake Winnipesauke course and facing top competition from Boston, Lowell, and central New Hampshire the girls from Bay View took first place in a time of 15:54.93 to win by 11.48 seconds over Wayland-Weston’s (MA) top boat. Later in the day, in the Women’s Junior Eights, the Bay View Varsity Eight placed fourth behind three powerhouse crews from Boston’s Community Rowing, Inc. The Bay View Crew will next race in Lowell on October 5 at the Textile River Regatta.

Women’s Jr. 4+: Emi Marchetti, Coxswain; Maeve Garlick, Stroke; Alice Murray, 3; Chelsea Robin, 2; Harlee Nordstrom, Bow. Marchetti, Murray and Nordstrom are this year’s Captains.
Women’s Jr. 8+: Bethany Biszko, Coxswain; Jenny Holtz, Stroke; Lauren Laboissioniere, 7; Helen Manzella, 6; Celine Gill, 5; Christine Abram, 4; Danielle Riggin, 3; Michelle Mackie, 2; Lindsey Sanford, Bow.

Bay View Varsity Field Hockey vs. Barrington
L 2-1 OT
Bay View lost another hard fought overtime game at Barrington.  Bay View scored a goal by Cate Colucci assisted by Katie Martin.  Bay View plays again on Saturday, September 20th, at home against Cumberland High School at 11:00 am.

Bay View got back on the winning track with a 5-0 win over Lincoln School.  Bay View was led once again by Kiley Colucci, 3 goals and 1 assist and Cate Colucci, 1 goal and 1 assist, Katie Martin, 3 assists and Amanda DiPaola, 1 goal.  Katy Hall made 7 saves for the shutout.  Bay View travels to Barrington (go to www.riil.org for directions to Barrington) on Thursday, September 18th to try and make it two in a row.

Bay View lost a tough overtime game to reigning State Champions, North Kingstown. Goal by Cate Colucci Assisted by Kiley Colucci. It was a very good all around game. Erin Ferry, Katie Martin and Steph Martineau played a great game. Cate Colucci had 2 goals and Kiley Colucci had 2 assists.   Meghan Colucci and Fallon Scorpio combined for 11 Saves in goal.  Bay View looks to get back on track Friday, September 12th, at home, vs. North Kingstown at 3:45 pm.
